Vase Guide: 16 Modern Vases for Every Budget

I’m completely obsessed with finding the perfect modern vases (and planters too).

How else am I going to enjoy flowers and plants without attractive vessels to display them in? Lately I’m focused on vases because I’ve hit my limit on planters and plants both inside and outside the house.

Below is a curated selection of stylish modern vases for every budget. I genuinely want nearly every one of them—someone stop me! The collection includes pieces starting around $15, and many are under $50.

Modern Vases for Every Budget (1–8)

1. Menu Willmann vase from Amazon — $99

I bought this Menu Willmann vase a few years ago and still love it. The glass-and-concrete combination is an elegant mix of materials that feels modern and grounded.

2. Scratch vase from McGee & Co — $128

This one is a favorite — simple yet striking. It comes in two colors and has a quiet, thoughtful design.

3. Toppu vase from Burke Decor — $89

I love the color pairing on this tall Toppu vase, though it’s also available in a black-and-white stripe if you prefer something more graphic.

4. Halston ceramic vase from Casa Living on Etsy — $45

Its pared-back shape feels almost primitive in the best sense: simple, artisanal, and very approachable.

5. Hand-built ceramic vase from Siup Studio on Etsy — $44

This little bud vase stands out for its unique color and form. It’s genuinely one-of-a-kind and perfect for a single stem.

6. Rattan cage vase carafe from Amber Interiors — $30

A row of these on a long table filled with a few fig branches would look lovely. (Not a fiddle leaf fig—just a fig branch; I love their leaves.)

7. Giselle Hicks double diamond vase from Spartan Shop — $550

This piece is a true statement and blurs the line between vase and sculpture. It’s pricey, but it makes a bold decorative impact.

8. Inka cup from Burke Decor — $39

Technically a cup, but it works beautifully as a small vase. It comes in several colors, and larger sizes are available that function nicely as vases too.

9. Muuto Kink vase from Danish Design Store — $269

Muuto consistently delivers thoughtful design, and the Kink vase is no exception. The soft color and elegant twist make it an eye-catching piece.

10. Malaga vase from McGee & Co — $60

Those little handles give the Malaga vase personality—it’s cute and tactile in a way that makes you want to pick it up.

11. Olcott small handle vase from Crate & Barrel — $30

This collection includes a taller pink vase if you like this shape but want a different color. The little handle detail is charming.

12. Judy Jackson bud vase from Rejuvenation — $34

I own this bud vase and it’s one of my favorites. It’s small, sculptural, and so good for a single bloom. (As a side note, I managed to break mine—twice—and learned how fragile these pieces can be.)

13. Georgia vase from Urban Outfitters — $59

This vase has a relaxed, cool vibe and a reasonable price point—great if you want something with character without breaking the bank.

14. Hay Bottoms Up vase from Huset — $93

If you prefer glass, this Bottoms Up vase is a beautiful example: clean, refined, and very modern.

15. Small black crinkle vase from H&M — $15

This small black piece has a dynamic, almost motion-inspired silhouette. It’s surprisingly sculptural for such an affordable price.

16. Dial white shiny vase from CB2 — $35

The shape and texture of this CB2 vase are spot on for my taste. I’m less keen on glossy finishes, but you can change that—one trick is spraying a high-quality matte clear coat to transform the gloss to matte for a more muted, contemporary look.

Those are my current picks for cool modern vases. I love them all, but the double diamond piece from Spartan Shop is my top favorite—naturally, it’s the priciest one. It always works out that way.

What do you think of the vases on this list? Could you see any of these fitting into your home?
