Happy Saturday! This might seem a little out of character—if you know me, you’ve probably seen me indulging in something sweet—but tomorrow Jeff, my sister-in-law and I are getting up early to take part in the Wanderlust triathlon. It feels like the perfect way to burn off some of the treats I’ve enjoyed this week, including a few of my recent favorites. What are your plans for the weekend?
If you have time for a few easy DIY projects, here are some fun ideas to try:
- Coconut yogurt waffles from Minimalist Baker — a light, dairy-free waffle option that’s crispy on the outside and tender inside.
- DIY cork office organizer — a simple project to tidy up your workspace using corkboard and a few basic supplies.
- Sideboard makeover — refresh an old piece of furniture with paint, new hardware, or creative finishes for a brand-new look.
- Vanilla bean cake donuts with blueberry glaze — soft, flavorful cake donuts topped with a bright blueberry glaze for a sweet weekend treat.
- Sew a café apron in 10 minutes from a linen napkin — a fast, practical sewing project that makes a great gift or kitchen staple.
- Fresh blueberry whipped cream for angel food cake — a quick fruit-forward topping to elevate a simple angel food cake.
Whether you choose a kitchen experiment or a quick craft, these projects are easy to fit into a weekend and deliver great results with minimal effort. Enjoy the process—small, creative projects are a lovely way to recharge and make everyday spaces feel refreshed.
Have a wonderful weekend.
