Quick note: I used the P-touch Embellish machine for each of these projects to print custom messages on satin ribbon. It’s handy for wedding projects and everyday crafts, offering dozens of fonts, borders, symbols, and patterns to personalize tape and ribbon.

1. DIY Wedding Ring Pillow

Estimated cost: about $6 for materials.

Materials: two small squares of fabric or canvas, thread, polyfill stuffing, needle and thread, and a satin ribbon.

Instructions: Cut two identical 5.5-inch fabric squares. Sew three sides together with a straight stitch, backstitching at the start and finish. Turn the piece right-side-out, fill with poly stuffing, and hand-sew the final side closed.

Use the P-touch Embellish to print a short message, names, or the wedding date on a satin ribbon—pink with gold lettering looks especially elegant. Attach the ribbon across the center of the pillow by sewing it securely through the pillow with a needle and thread, passing back and forth 5–7 times to anchor it. Slide the rings onto the ribbon and tie a bow. The result is a simple, personal ring pillow that looks custom-made.

2. DIY Wedding Bouquet with Personalized Ribbon

Estimated cost: about $50 or less with in-season flowers; varies by flower choice and season.

Materials: a selection of in-season blooms, floral tape or a small rubber band, scissors, a vase or bucket for staging, and a printed satin ribbon.

Instructions: Build a hand-tied bouquet by arranging a variety of flowers and greenery. Add blooms one at a time, rotating the stems and crossing them in an X pattern to create a rounded shape and even distribution. When the shape feels right, secure stems with a thin rubber band or floral tape and let the bouquet rest in water until ready.

Use the P-touch Embellish to print a custom ribbon—phrases like “All You Need Is Love,” names, or a meaningful quote work well. Wrap the ribbon around the stems over the rubber band and knot or double-knot it. Trim excess ribbon for a neat finish. This adds a personalized, polished touch and keeps the bouquet secure for the aisle.

Tip: Make your bouquet ahead of time if possible. (Don’t leave it until the morning of the wedding—though it can be done, it’s less stressful to prepare earlier.)

3. DIY Exit Confetti Pouches

Estimated cost: under $1 per pouch (about $0.40–$0.99 each depending on quantity purchased).

Materials: small muslin or cotton drawstring bags (4×6 size recommended), fabric dye (optional), seam ripper, needle with a large eye, and printed satin ribbon. Fill with your chosen confetti—flower petals, biodegradable confetti, or other tossable material.

Instructions: If you want colored pouches, dye plain muslin bags in a simple dye bath, then wash and dry. Remove the tiny cotton drawstrings and open a slightly larger hole on each side near the top using a seam ripper. Thread a printed ribbon through the top opening with a large-eye needle, letting the ribbon serve as a decorative handle and label. Fill each pouch with confetti and close them, or leave the ribbon long enough to tie closed before the exit toss.

For these pouches I used a pink satin ribbon with gold lettering, but white or navy satin ribbons also create an elegant look. Personalized ribbons—names, dates, or short thank-you notes—make the favors feel handmade and thoughtful.
