Summer is finally arriving, and bite-sized snacks are perfect for the season. I’ve always loved crostini recipes—partly because they’re simple to assemble and partly because they look so pretty—so I created fresh fruit and prosciutto crostinis topped with homemade goat cheese for Darby Smart.
These crostinis are an ideal way to celebrate warm weather gatherings. I’m especially excited because I made the goat cheese myself—my first time making cheese—and I’m unexpectedly hooked. It was fun and surprisingly approachable, and it adds a fresh, creamy base for the toppings.
Check out the full video tutorial on Darby Smart for a step-by-step guide to making the goat cheese and assembling these crostinis.

What would you add to your crostinis if you tried this recipe? Fresh herbs like basil or thyme, a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of toasted nuts, or a touch of balsamic glaze can all elevate these small bites—feel free to experiment to find your favorite combination.
