This five-minute body scrub exfoliates without abrasion, leaves skin feeling soft, and smells delightful. Follow the recipe below to create a pumpkin-spice brown sugar scrub that helps revive dry, dull skin for cooler months.

How to Make a DIY Sugar Exfoliator

Combine the ingredients below in a bowl and stir until well mixed.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (or swap in honey or olive oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon citrus essential oil

To use: scoop a small amount into your hands and gently massage over damp skin, either on the face or body. Let the scrub sit for 1–2 minutes to allow the oils to absorb, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel. Use 2–3 times per week. Stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, the scrub should keep for up to a month.
