Refreshing Peach Cocktail Recipes for Summer Nights

Peach cocktails that shout summer—an easy farm-to-table recipe you’ll want on repeat.

Adding a peach garnish to a frozen cocktail.

Summer is in the air, and this updated peach cocktail recipe is the perfect way to celebrate fresh fruit season. Made with ripe farm peaches, a layered peach puree, and a splash of wine, these drinks are essentially elegant alcoholic slushies—cool, fruity, and gorgeous.

The inspiration came from peach season in Georgia. On a visit to a local peach farm I brought home so many peaches I had to find ways to use them all. I made galettes, crumbles, popsicles and, of course, this frozen cocktail. The layered, color-blocked look makes it as Instagram-ready as it is delicious.

These cocktails are frozen—perfect for hot days—and can easily be adapted with other fruits. If you lived through a summer in Atlanta like I did, you know frozen drinks are a must. Below is a straightforward recipe to recreate that peach-and-strawberry color-blocked slush.

Peach Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients (makes 1 large serving)

  • 2 fresh peaches (medium to large)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Moscato*

*Moscato pairs beautifully with peaches for a light, aromatic sweetness, but feel free to use another wine you enjoy.

How to Make the Peach Cocktail

1. Prepare the peaches

Remove the pits and slice the peaches.

2. Blend the peach layer

In a blender, combine 2 sliced peaches, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 cup Moscato. Blend until smooth—about 30–60 seconds, depending on your blender. Pour this peach puree into a large glass, which will form the bottom layer.

3. Blend the strawberry layer

Hull and slice the strawberries. Blend 2 cups strawberries with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 cup Moscato until smooth. To keep the layers distinct, tilt the glass and slowly pour the strawberry puree on top of the peach layer—pouring carefully helps preserve the color-block effect.

4. Garnish and serve

Add a peach wedge or slice to the rim, and the cocktail is ready to enjoy.

Tip: For a color-blocked presentation blend the peach and strawberry components separately. If you prefer a single-flavor frozen cocktail, you can blend all the fruit together with the wine at once.
