Spring has arrived, and I’m feeling inspired to entertain—think fresh blooms, soft pastels, and pops of color. With Easter coming up, it’s the perfect time to set a pretty seasonal table and host a relaxed celebration.
For this “pretty in pastels” Easter tablescape, I teamed up with Brother to share six simple DIY ideas you can use for spring entertaining. I tested the P-touch Embellish label and ribbon printer, which makes personalizing tape and ribbon effortless. Read on for six easy ways to elevate your spring table.

The Brother P-touch Embellish lets you print on both tape and satin ribbon with a wide range of fonts, borders, symbols, and patterns—perfect for party projects. I loved using the pink satin ribbon with gold lettering and a pastel purple tape with black lettering for the Easter look. They make it easy to add a polished, personal touch to everything from place settings to party favors.
Here are six DIY ideas I used for this spring tablescape—simple, stylish, and easy to recreate.

1. Drink Marker Place Cards
Make reusable drink markers that also act as place cards. I fed the pastel purple tape into the P-touch, typed each guest’s name, printed, and wrapped the tape around the stem of champagne glasses. Trim the excess and it’s done—clean, removable, and functional.
This trick is great for parties because the markers help guests find their seat and then keep track of their glass when the gathering moves around the house. They’re an easy detail that feels thoughtful and useful throughout the night.

2. Muted-Color Dyed Easter Eggs
I prefer soft, muted shades for Easter eggs rather than neon colors. Brown eggs take dye differently and often turn out with beautiful, understated tones—perfect for a subtle, sophisticated table. A simple dyeing trick produces these muted hues; try experimenting with different base eggs and mild dye solutions to achieve the look you want.
3. Turmeric-Dyed Napkins
A pop of warm yellow anchors the pastel palette. I hand‑dyed the napkins using turmeric for a vibrant but natural shade of yellow. It’s an inexpensive, non-toxic way to add color to your linens and ties the floral elements of the table together without matching everything exactly. These napkins felt handmade and warm—perfect for a spring meal.

4. Ribbon Food Markers
Use printed satin ribbon to label dips and small dishes. I printed short food names in a simple font on pink satin ribbon with gold lettering, then tied the ribbon to serving spoons before placing each spoon in its bowl. It’s an attractive, practical touch—guests know what they’re serving themselves, and the ribbons add a delicate visual detail.

5. Candles and Mini Spring Bouquets Table Runner
For the table’s center, arrange candles at varying heights and intersperse small, easy-to-make bouquets in mismatched vases. This low runner creates warmth and intimacy while letting the flowers and soft candlelight set the mood. Mixing vase styles keeps the runner feeling casual and collected rather than overly matched.

6. Daisy Ribbon for Party Favorites
Wrap small party favors with printed ribbon to send guests home with a sweet reminder of the evening. I used one of the floral symbols available on the Embellish machine and printed it on pink satin ribbon, then tied it around small boxes and bags. It’s a charming way to personalize favors without a lot of effort.
Those are the six DIY tablescape ideas I used for a spring Easter gathering: drink-marker place cards, muted-dyed eggs, turmeric-dyed napkins, ribbon food markers, a candle-and-bouquet runner, and personalized favor ribbons. Each detail is simple to execute but adds warmth and intentionality to the table.

What do you think of this Easter tablescape? I’m excited for spring—what details do you love adding to your table when you host?
