36 Black-Owned Businesses to Support Now + My Plan Forward

First and foremost: Black lives matter. The mistreatment and systemic injustices Black people face in this country are unacceptable.

I’m committed to doing the work to better support the Black community and to educate myself about anti-racism. This list is intended as a practical starting point for anyone who wants to support Black-owned businesses with their purchases now and in the future.

If you’re beginning to learn about anti-racism, there are many helpful resources compiled for non-Black allies. If you can donate, consider organizations that directly support Black communities and racial justice. If financial support isn’t possible, sharing verified resources, amplifying Black creators, and shopping from Black-owned brands when you can are meaningful ways to help.

Below is a curated selection of Black-owned businesses across fashion, home, kids, beauty, and more. This list isn’t exhaustive, but it’s a place to start. If you have suggestions for additional brands to include, please comment on the original post or reach out to the author.
