Father’s Day is just around the corner, so I put together a relaxed coffee-and-dessert brunch idea perfect for celebrating the dads in your life.
I partnered with EDWARDS® Desserts to bring a few of their ready-made pies to the table and to share simple, stylish tablescape ideas you can recreate at home before June 18th arrives. The concept is easy: good coffee, great pie, and a casually pulled-together setting that feels thoughtful but not fussy.
The Plan
Most dads appreciate a low-key celebration, so I aimed for a minimal, unfussy tablescape that still looks considered. The styling leans masculine without being overly themed: darker textiles, simple greenery, and leather accents give the scene a grounded, grown-up feel. I skipped florals in favor of monstera leaves and potted succulents—clean, modern, and easy to source or keep on hand.
To set the table I mixed some favorite plates and mismatched cups that stayed within the color palette. A handful of EDWARDS® Desserts and a large pot of strong coffee were all that was needed to finish the spread.

So Many Pies
I opted for variety, selecting three EDWARDS® Desserts to offer guests different flavors and the option to indulge in more than one slice. They’re convenient and delicious—store-bought ease with a homemade feel. My favorites from this selection were the EDWARDS® Key Lime Pie, notable for a thick, satisfying crust, and the EDWARDS® Turtle Pie, which layers caramel, chocolate pieces, pecans, and a cookie crust for a rich, textured bite. If you prefer smaller portions, EDWARDS® also offers single slices that work well for a lighter approach.

Father’s Day Tablescape Details
Here are the simple elements you can use to recreate this look:
- Centerpieces: large monstera leaves and small potted succulents for a clean, masculine centerpiece that’s low maintenance.
- Textiles: a folded textile used as a short runner creates texture without clutter. I used a deep indigo napkin to add a rich accent color.
- Tableware: mix-and-match plates and cups within the same color family. White plates provide contrast while darker plates add depth. The silverware can be a simple, modern set.
- DIY leather napkin rings: cut a 1/2″ strip of leather about 7–8″ long, soak it briefly, shape into an oval, and let it dry so it hardens. Secure the ends with a small dab of hot glue if needed.
- Personalized touch: add a small metal initial or graphic charm to each napkin ring to mark each guest’s place.
- Placemats: large sheets of decorative wrapping paper or craft paper can serve as inexpensive, easy-to-replace placemats.
Most of the serving pieces and linens I used were things I already owned; the goal is to keep the look intentional but low-cost and approachable.
