Reviewing our new Article furniture and sharing a near-complete reveal of the lounge room.

Our back room lounge is almost finished, and I wanted to give you a big sneak peek. I’m showing nearly the entire space—saving just a few finishing touches for next week.
Before the final reveal, I want to talk about the Article pieces in this room. They really define the space, in my opinion.
I’ve owned several Article pieces for years, and I’m often asked about them, so I figured I’d share my thoughts on the newest additions as well as the older pieces that have held up over time.
Here’s my full Article furniture review for the lounge room.
Article Furniture Review (Lounge Room)
Over the years I’ve owned multiple Article items, and they’ve consistently been well made and thoughtfully designed.
My first Article piece was the Burrard sofa, which I used in my studio back in 2016. When I moved out of that space years later I had to sell it because we didn’t have room, but it still looked almost brand new when it sold—people even lined up hoping to buy that sofa at the studio sale.
A year after that, we bought teak outdoor furniture from Article. The table and chairs are from the TEAKA collection and we still use them regularly. Those pieces have been through almost six years of use and even survived a cross-country move in great shape. They’re heavy and solid—definitely long-lasting.
Now, on to the new pieces—here’s my honest take on everything we added to the lounge.

Article Sofa (Mello Sectional)
I researched many sofas before choosing the Mello Taos sectional. It had great reviews and a look I loved, so it felt like the right fit.
From the start it seemed like the kind of sectional you could curl up on for hours, and it absolutely is—very comfortable. We’ve had it for almost three months and use it every day; it still looks great even with a toddler who sometimes gets messy.
It has some minor scuffs from daily life—natural for leather—but I like the patina that develops; it adds character.
Aside from comfort, the sectional is beautiful. When I shared a preview on Instagram, many people said it was their dream couch too. While it’s not inexpensive, it’s competitively priced for a leather sectional of this size. Another leather sofa we own from a different company cost nearly $1,000 more and is about half the size—yet we prefer the Mello.
I have the left-arm corner sectional in Taos Tan and couldn’t be happier with the choice.

Article Coffee Table (Catta Coffee Table)
The Catta coffee table is another favorite. It has a vacation-like, relaxed vibe and reminds me of classic barrel furniture. The quality is impressive: a thick glass top paired with a rattan and rope base reinforced with powder-coated iron.
What surprised me most was the price—about $350—which feels like a steal for this level of quality. I’ve spent a lot of time searching for coffee tables under $500, and it’s rare to find one that’s both stylish and well made like this.

Bocco Pillow
The room includes a variety of pillows, many moved from our main living room. A newer addition was a pink Bocco pillow—super soft and cozy. We’ve used it as a small floor cushion with a pouf when my son plays on the floor, which is daily.
Full disclosure: I later moved that pillow to another room to keep the lounge’s earthy palette cohesive, but it’s a lovely, comfortable piece.

Meron Mirror
With several framed pieces already on the walls, I added a mirror to bounce light and introduce a softer, round shape among rectangular art. The Meron mirror is under $200 and comes in natural and black finishes. It complements the room without being overly matchy.

Catta Side Table (Hadley Stool similar)
We use a Hadley stool as a side table behind the sectional for drinks. Its lightweight size makes it easy to move when we need an extra seat or surface.
I later retired that stool in favor of a Catta side table to match the coffee table; it’s adorable and practical, and it’s also under $200.

That’s all for now. I’m still finishing the final styling and will share the sources and the office portion of this space in a separate post.
If you have any questions about the Article furniture or anything else you see in the room, I’d love to hear them—happy to answer.
