Peach Crumble Recipe: Delicious Peach Crumble for Summer Baking

Easy Peach Crumble Recipe

Make the most of late-summer peaches with this super-easy peach crumble. It’s best served warm with a scoop of ice cream, a dollop of homemade whipped cream, or enjoyed straight from the baking dish. The crumble comes together quickly and highlights the bright, juicy flavor of ripe peaches.

If you’ve already made a peach galette, save a portion of the sugared peach filling to turn into this crumble—two desserts from one batch of fruit makes life easier and even more delicious.

Easy Peach Crumble

Ingredients

  • Peach filling: ripe peach slices combined with sugar, cornstarch, a squeeze of lime juice, and a pinch of salt (use the proportions you prefer or those from your favorite peach galette recipe)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prepare the peach filling: in a large bowl, gently toss peach slices with sugar, cornstarch, lime juice, and a pinch of salt until evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to a baking or casserole dish.

3. Make the streusel topping: combine the flour and sugar in a medium bowl. Add the cold, cubed butter and cut it into the dry ingredients using a fork, pastry cutter, or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some pea-sized pieces.

4. Evenly sprinkle the streusel over the peach filling.

5. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the fruit filling is bubbling and the topping is lightly golden brown. Oven times can vary, so check the crumble toward the end of baking.

6. Allow the crumble to cool slightly before serving so the filling can set a bit. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, or enjoy it on its own.
