Summer Pineapple Rum Punch Recipe for Your Next Party

A simple, delicious summer punch cocktail that’s incredibly easy to make.

A Limited Ingredient Summer Cocktail (Pineapple Rum Punch)

Inspired by an earlier Caribbean-style cocktail, this pineapple-and-orange version uses only three main ingredients. It’s perfect for lazy afternoons when you’d rather be sipping than mixing.

If you prefer a single glass or a big batch for guests, this recipe scales easily—treat the ounce amounts as “parts” when making a larger punch.

A Limited Ingredient Summer Cocktail (Pineapple Rum Punch)

Ingredients (serves one)

  • 3 oz pineapple-coconut juice (store-bought or a supermarket brand)
  • 2 oz orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought)
  • 2–4 oz coconut rum, depending on how strong you like it
  • Optional: sprig of mint, edible flowers, and pineapple slices to garnish

Summer Punch Cocktail Recipe

1. In a glass or shaker, combine the pineapple-coconut juice, orange juice, and coconut rum. Stir gently to mix.

2. Fill a serving glass with ice and pour the mixture over the ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint, edible flowers, and a small slice of pineapple if desired.

Tip: To make a punch for a crowd, multiply the ingredient amounts or treat the ounce measurements as parts (for example, 3 parts pineapple-coconut juice : 2 parts orange juice : 2–4 parts rum) and serve from a pitcher over ice.

If you enjoy bright, summery cocktails, try variations using different fruit juices or swap the coconut rum for white rum and a splash of coconut water for a lighter profile. Adding a squeeze of lime or a dash of club soda can introduce extra brightness and effervescence.
