Edible Fruit Table Runner for Summer Parties

Yesterday I shared a few DIY ideas that transition from party décor to home accents, and today I’m showing how those projects came together at the event. Below are photos from the party, a few extra DIY touches, and details on food, drinks, and favors. I’m excited to share it all—let’s jump in.

This celebration was created in partnership with V8 and their delicious lines of V8 Veggie Blends and V8 +Energy. I wanted a fruit-and-vegetable–focused gathering that highlights the wholesome ingredients found in V8 products—carrots, beets, apples, mangoes, grapes, and more—so the menu and styling emphasized fresh produce.

After finishing the DIY pieces I mentioned earlier, I concentrated on a bold statement for the table: an edible table runner. This living centerpiece stretched the length of the table and included a floral bouquet in the middle. Scroll through the photos to see how the event came together, what we served, and what guests took home.

London is one of my favorite cities in the world. It offers excellent shopping, expansive parks, fascinating museums, and countless neighborhoods to explore. We recently returned for our third visit earlier this year, and I wanted to share my top recommendations for where to stay, eat, and shop while the trip is still fresh in my mind.

It’s a bit odd that, despite visiting London multiple times, I hadn’t published a guide before now. The good news is I’ve gathered plenty of recommendations. Emma, who lived in London for six months before joining our team, also contributed several of her favorites, so this list combines longtime spots with local insights.

Below are some of the best places to stay, eat, and shop in London, England.

Are Colorful Couches Worth the Trend?

For years we’ve defaulted to neutral sofas — tan, light gray, cream — both at home and in the studio. Lately, though, the colorful couch trend that dominates Pinterest has kept popping into my head. I’ve been wondering whether to try a color on for size: can a bold sofa energize a room without locking the design into one look?

There are several colorful sofas that have really caught my eye. What holds me back is the habit of changing a room’s look regularly; I worry a non-neutral sofa might limit future styling options. I’d love to hear what you think.

Christmas sugar cookies with a twist!

These marbled raspberry and matcha sugar cookies give the classic Christmas cookie a fresh update. The raspberry brings a bright, fruity note that lifts the usual sugar cookie flavor, while the matcha provides a subtle, earthy green tea taste. Together they create festive red-and-green cookies without artificial coloring.

Oh, and did I mention they’re marbled?

Below you’ll find the full recipe and step-by-step instructions. I joined a few blogging friends for a virtual cookie exchange, so be sure to scroll down for more holiday cookie ideas as well.
